Rob will be responsible for a range of formulation development services, from pre-formulation through to the manufacture of clinical trial supplies and commercial products. Rob, a chemist with a Ph.D in Pharmaceutics, has more than 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He was previously Director of Pharmaceutical Development at Quay Pharmaceuticals and was also Technical Support Manager at Glaxo Wellcome. Before that, he spent four years at Warner Lambert in Pontypool. Most recently, Rob worked in France for multinational company, Capsugel, who specialise in producing empty shells that can be used for pharmaceutical use. Whilst there, Rob headed up a team developing formulations for novel pharmaceuticals. Commenting on his appointment, he said: "I was looking for an opportunity to go back to my roots – not only a return to Wales, but more importantly, an opportunity to build on my previous experience of pharmaceutical development in an outsourcing environment.
