Rachel Fretwell joins Penn as a member of the QA Officer Fast Track Team. Rachel will be responsible for ensuring quality standards for early phase and Phase I clinical trial projects. Previously, she was a Pharmacy Technician for Clinical Research and Development at Simbec Research Ltd. Her responsibilities there included labelling and preparation of clinical trial materials, preparation and checking of documentation and regular client contact. Prior to this position, Rachel was employed as a student Pharmacy Technician with 2 NHS hospitals during which time she achieved a distinction in her BTEC National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Science. Dale Robins has joined Penn as an Engineering Technician and will support the engineering and facility maintenance team. Prior to this, he worked at Loseley as an Engineer. Dale began his career when he completed his apprenticeship in 2000 and then worked for Memory Lane Cakes. He spent 4 years at Rocialle Medical Ltd as an engineer. Dale is a time served engineer, qualified in mechanical and electrical engineering. Edmund Lewis has joined Penn as a Project Manager within Penn’s manufacturing group. He will be responsible for liaising with clients regarding their Custom Manufacturing and Clinical Trial Manufacturing projects, supporting their needs from project start-up to project close-down . He joins from Cosi in Maesteg, where he was an Account and Project Manager and worked closely with Manufacturing/Packaging and R&D teams. Edmund’s main focus has been new product development for major well known clients in a complex fast moving environment. As the key contact for Penn’s clients in the UK/European and USA, Edmund has a strong commercial background in addition to solid experience of manufacturing/packaging and production processes.
