Lee is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants with 10 years' post qualifying experience.

Lee began his career as a Trainee Accountant with Allied Steel and Wire plc in 1990, he then joined Philip Services, Metal Recycling and Industrial Services Group Ltd in 1994. Lee spent 4 years as the UK Group Accountant, with the overall responsibility for eight legal entities that had a combined turnover of £70m.

In 1998, with the transfer of ownership to Sims Metal UK a subsidary of Sims Metal Australia, Lee continued his role as Group Financial Accountant.

Lee joined Penn in December 2000 as Financial Controller reporting to the Financial Director. He achieved his MBA in October 2003 and promoted to Director of Finance in December 2004 at the time of the second MBO.

Lee has overall responsibility for the Finance, IT, Purchasing and Customer Services.
