Penn US expands business development team - 18 Mar 2008

Penn Pharmaceutical Services U.S., Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Penn Pharmaceutical Services Ltd one of the UK’s leading providers of fully-integrated pharmaceutical outsourcing services, has strengthened its presence in the US with the appointment of Britton Jimenez.

Britton joins Penn as Business Development Executive and is tasked with building on Penn’s established success and driving forward sales for the West Coast US territory.

Britton joins Penn from Cardinal Health where spent 5 years working up from national account manager to director of sales and marketing within the Global Manufacturer Services business unit. At Cardinal Health, he was responsible for the creation of next generation services for the pharmaceutical and biotech market.

Prior to this, Britton worked at Surgipath Medical Industries for two years and also spent four years at Bristol Myers Squibb.

Commenting on his appointment, Britton said: "I am very excited to have joined such a fast-growing company at a pivotal point in their expansion. The pharma industry in the US is growing rapidly and with Penn having a thriving US base, we are ideally located to help US companies with their European trade."

Paul Wituschek, business development director in the US, said: "Penn Pharmaceutical services will benefit from the knowledge and experience Britton has in the outsourcing market and the insights he will bring into his new role. We expect Britton to make an immediate impact at Penn and will be a key asset to our U.S. growth strategy."
